London Teaching Pool Ltd are now recruiting for an SEN Primary Teacher for a school based in Romford, Essex.
The SEN school are looking to fill the following posts;
- Key Stage 1 Teacher – full-time, Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties, complex medical needs including epilepsy and gastrostomy feeds, multi-sensory impairments.
- Key Stage 2 – full-time, severe/profound and multiple learning difficulties, some gastrostomy feeds/epilepsy but no complex medical needs, multi-sensory impairments.
Classes follow a developmental curriculum and are in need of daily physio input. Teacher is expected to co-ordinate personal care plans and physio programmes. All of the students in these groups are in wheelchairs and so experience/training in Manual Handling is essential.
All classes have a minimum of x3 Teaching Assistants to support the Class Teacher, all of whom will be regular school staff who know the children and are fully trained in meeting their needs.
The school are looking for teachers who are able to complete paperwork such as Medium-Term/Short-Term lesson planning, assessments using our online tool (Bsquared), write reports for Annual Reviews and evaluate/set new individualised targets, as well as complete written risk assessments and other individualised student written plans.
