We are looking for experienced Teaching Assistants with the BSL qualification OR Sign Language experience. 

You will be working in a mainstream Primary School with a Deaf Support Base.  The school in located in the London Borough of Waltham Forest in East London. 

The Deaf Support Base is managed by staff who are experts in teaching hearing impaired pupils. Staff use a total communication approach combining lip-reading, use of residual hearing and sign supported English (SSE). Pupils with a range of hearing losses are helped to develop language skills, to make progress in their social and emotional development and to have confidence to learn. The provision is very well resourced with access to visual resources and Ipad’s to aid there understanding as well as the classrooms being acoustically treated and soundproof.

There are excellent transport links if you are travelling by public transport as well as car parking facilities.
