Are you an ASD and EBD specialist looking for a new challenge as a SEN Teaching Assistant?
My client is seeking an enthusiastic and patient SEN Teaching Assistant with previous experience working as a SEN Teaching Assistant in either a special needs or mainstream setting. They are looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to work alongside the Year 2 class teacher within a primary school in the LEA of Thurrock on a long term basis for the summer term.
The position is an immediate start to work 1:1 with a child in Key Stage 1 who has Autism and EBD. The child requires a one to one SEN Teaching Assistant to help raise their attainment and help with all aspects of school life academically. The child is socially very able, but can get frustrated and works closely with her current SEN Teaching Assistant to overcome this.
The school is extremely dedicated to the learning of all children, including those working at a lower level to their peers. Students at the school have an excellent attitude to learning and are supported by a team of passionate and motivating Class Teachers and a close knit team of support staff which include general class support and SEN Teaching Assistants. In their recent Ofsted they have been graded “Good”. Excellent transport links are available, they have a large car park and the school is a 6 minute walk from a train station.
To be considered you must:
*SEN Teaching Assistants must have worked in a school setting previously
*SEN Teaching Assistants must have experience working with Autism
*SEN Teaching Assistants must have a positive attitude and be dedicated to the development of their 1:1
*SEN Teaching Assistants must have a DBS on the update service or be willing to process a new DBS
If you are interested in this SEN Teaching Assistant position, please apply today. Interviews are taking place on Monday 16th April therefore do not delay your application.
