The Governing Body of this Redbridge school wish to appoint a highly experienced and effective senior leader to the role of Deputy Headteacher to support and assist the Headteacher, Governing Body and the wider community by providing professional leadership, vision and strategic direction to promote and secure the best outcomes for our students.

Our client is a very popular and oversubscribed mixed comprehensive school. In 2011, Ofsted awarded the school ‘Outstanding' status. The school prides itself on being an ambitious and supportive multicultural community, which keeps our child-centred philosophy at the heart of everything that we do. This school is regarded very highly for the excellent standards of pupil behaviour and orderly and purposeful learning environment across the school.
They have recently expanded to become ten form entry, and by September 2019 there will be approximately 1900 students on roll. This post has therefore arisen to; meet the needs of our expanding and ambitious school and ensure our continued success in providing the highest quality of education within excellent facilities and a supportive and respectful community.

The role – Deputy Headteacher
This is an exciting time for our client. You would be joining a highly focused, reflective and courageous senior leadership team, who support a motivated and very capable middle leadership team. Together they lead staff and students to be the best they can be. We are ambitious for our school, students and staff, and fully understand and model the behaviours expected to enable all in the community to thrive.
This school is looking for a future Deputy Headteacher who relishes the challenges of school improvement to make a positive difference to the lives of young people and society, who can demonstrate a proven track record in this, and is considering Headship in due course. Final responsibilities will be agreed considering the previous experiences and development needs of the successful candidate and the balance of responsibilities across the senior leadership team.
The school is centrally located in the London Borough of Redbridge, with very good transport links to central and outer London and a Central line station only a four-minute walk away.
