I am currently looking for a permanent Inclusion Manager based in Bromley for an SEN Further Education College. 35hrs per week, salary up to £30,000 prorata. Achieve high standards and to continue to develop and improve the overall status and performance of the College


Job Summary
To support the Head of College in securing the foundations from which to achieve high standards and to continue to develop and improve the overall status and performance of the College; and as a senior member of staff at the College, and within the Hub, to promote the vision and education practice; and in particular:
a) To assist the Head of College in leading and managing the College and working effectively together to secure a good or outstanding Ofsted inspection rating in relation to safeguarding, welfare and diversity.
b) To assist the Head of College in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all people attending the service including safeguarding of vulnerable young people and adults.
c) To be a mentor for College staff to promote outstanding Safeguarding practice.
d) Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of students for who you are responsible and with whom you come into contact.
e) To be available for staff to discuss any safeguarding concerns, 

Seeking an exceptional person to take on the role of Inclusions Manager and Safeguarding Lead Officer (Adult Safeguarding) to support our Education Management teams with managing safeguarding concerns/enquiries.
You will also be undertaking the role of the Safeguarding Manager for all concerns and enquiries.
You are required to complete all relevant safeguarding investigations, documentation, liaising with Parents, Carers, Social Workers, Multi-Agency teams and Council safeguarding teams.
You may be requested to train staff in Safeguarding across the college. 
 
Looking for somebody experienced at a senior practitioner level and with experience of undertaking safeguarding enquiries and undertaking the Safeguarding Adult lead role.
Significant experience of undertaking Mental Capacity Assessments is also required.
The ability to work in a busy environment with the skills, knowledge and expertise to support staff and to make sound decisions is required.
You will possess excellent communication, analytical and written skills, as well as being effective at prioritizing.
As part of a supportive management team, you will work with the Head and Deputy Head of college.
We offer training and career development opportunities. You must have a teaching, social care or social work background with SEN experience.
A satisfactory Disclosure Barring Service check is required.

Inclusion Manager Role Requirements;
a) To be responsible for, and to oversee, the incident reporting system for safeguarding (IRIS); ensuring that actions are implemented reviewed and signed off when complete. In addition, to liaise with relevant colleagues regarding risk analysis and ways to improve student safeguarding and reduce incidents. To ensure incidents are reported to external agencies, in order to meet regulatory requirements and harness open and transparent practices.
b) To ensure the educational provision, with particular reference to personal development, wellbeing and welfare complies fully with the requirements of Ofsted, the Education Funding Agency and other statutory regulators; and to ensure that reporting systems and action plans are in place to address any needs and that the highest standards are achieved in conjunction with other members of the senior education leadership team.
c) Refer all cases of suspected abuse of any student of the college to the appropriate authority (Bromley/Livability/and any other relevant authority).
d) To have a working knowledge of how local authorities conduct a safeguarding case conference and a student protection review conference and be able to attend and contribute to these effectively when requied to do so.
e) Ensure that parents are aware that referrals about suspected abuse or neglect may be made to Adult social care and the College’s role in this.
f) As required liaise with the case manager and the designated officer at the local authority for safeguarding concerns (all cases which concern a member of staff).
g) Taking part in strategy discussions and inter-agency meetings and/or to supporting other staff to do so and to contribute to the assessment of students.
h) Make referrals to the police where a crime may have been committed which involves a student.
i) To update and maintain a database of Risk Assessment of all service providers i.e. Hydro. Visit all new providers of services to the college and conduct a risk assessment.
