I am currently recruiting for six LSA's to join a mainstream Primary School in the LEA of Newham for September 2018. The School is very well facilitated and is looking to meet with perspective candidates for the below positions immediately.
The School is graded Good by Ofsted and is easily reachable by train or car and the school also has a car park for their staff.
They have a number of SEN children joining the school in September with a range of SEN needs, I have stated below the specific needs of each child. They are looking for committed and professional SEN specialists to meet with them immediately.
TA6 - Yr 6 TA - general class/year group support in the mornings (needs good subject knowledge and behaviour management strategies), and then delivering catch up Literacy 1:1 sessions in the afternoons to some Year 6 children.
TA1 - Yr 5 child with visual impairment/Batten Disease in the mornings and then in Yr 3 with a child with visual impairment, autism, and behavioural issues in the afternoons.
TA2 - Yr 3 child with Down's Syndrome and learning difficulties (P3i) in the mornings and then with another Yr 3 child in the afternoons with global developmental delay (P3i)
TA3 -Yr 3 child in the mornings with global developmental delay (P3i) and then Yr 3 child with Down's Syndrome and learning difficulties (P3i) in the afternoon.
TA4 - Yr 4 child in the morning (ASD but at age expected) so also working with other children on the table, and then with a Yr 4 child with global developmental delay (P6-7).
TA5 - General Yr 4 support in the mornings and then supporting a Yr 4 boy with ASD (P7) in the afternoons.
You will be required to start work at 8.30am with a half an hour lunch break then carrying out a lunch duty. You will finish at 3.30pm, except on Wednesdays when they have training until 4.30pm. Please note that there may be personal care involved in some of the positions.
