Outreach SEN Teacher required in a PRU in Kingston!
For this role, you will be teaching two students, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, in their homes.
One is non-verbal year 8 young person with difficulties focusing for periods of time. She is beginningto use apps on her iPad to work through skills such as communication, jigsaws and some other puzzle type games. A good focus would be on life skills such as preparing a snack for herself or drinks etc. The outcomes are set for these type of tasks. She is just beginningto settle and adjustto UK times even though the family have been here since June. She fits the profile of Strathmore children.
The otheris non verbal year 7 young person with difficulties with attention. He was in a Specialist provision in Ghana who have provided some reports that indicate he is working at an early primary level and was given tasks around this level of engagement. His mental health has deteriorated since he has not been in school. It would be helpful to anyone tutoring him to understand that the family are struggling to support him. He fits the profile of Dysart.
