Are you a qualified teacher of Construction seeking a new and exciting position?
We are currently working with a Secondary school in Greenwich, South East London who are keen to recruit a talented and passionate Construction teacher.

The role officially starts in December 2017, however, the Headteacher is happy to take the right teacher on immediately so that he/she can settle into the school before the new academic year.

This is an excellent opportunity for NQTs as well as experienced teachers.

About the school

The mixed Secondary school is filled with polite and friendly 11-18 year old students and they have a strong focus on maximising attainment. The successful candidate will be a creative and influential teacher, someone who is an innovative professional that will combine efforts to further the success of students.

Last year the school posted its best GCSE results to date. There is a strong attitude to career development to ensure all staff reach their highest potential and deliver first class learning. 

Job description:
  • You will be responsible for teaching Construction
  • Attending staff meetings and being part of curriculum development
  • Secure outstanding attainment and progress at all stages
  • Provide extra-curricular support for pupils to ensure outstanding achievement and progress for exam groups and promote enjoyment and participation in the subject for non-exam groups.
  • Show flexibility, innovation and intelligence in responding to the needs of the pupils and the school as a whole
  • A strong classroom presence and setting clear boundaries will be required in all classroom settings

Qualifications / Experience:
  • Experience of Pearson BTEC Level 2 and Level 3 is desirable
  • You should have excellent knowledge and be able to engage and challenge students of all abilities
  • You must be able to provide evidence of good and/or outstanding lessons. All classrooms are fully resourced and spacious, allowing for a variety of lesson strategies to be implemented.
  • You should be creative, passionate and dedicated to supporting the learning and development of all students in the class
  • This role is suitable for either an NQT or an experienced teacher
  • You must have the legal right to work in the UK
  • This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
