Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a PE Teacher to join an Academy based in Bromley. They are looking for a committed and enthusiastic individual who can teach Physical Education they are happy for NQTs or experienced teachers. The PE Teaching position is within a Mainstream academy for 11-18 year old students.

You will need to have knowledge of the UK national curriculum and be able to deliver this role effectively. Duties include:
  • Planning and delivering engaging theoretical and practical PE lessons
  • Preparing differentiated materials for pupils of varied abilities
  • Setting homework and classwork; marking work and providing pupils with constructive feedback to ensure continued improvement
  • Monitoring student attainment and arranging intervention sessions where required
  • Preparing students for examinations and offering revision support
  • Playing an active role in the department and the school, attending department meetings and Parents Evenings
  • Assisting with extra-curricular activities
  • Liaising with staff, pupils, and parents
  • Accompanying students to sports matches and tournaments
Qualifications / Experience
  • You should have a Physical Education related degree with a PGCE / QTS Qualification
  • You should be aware of the curriculum and be able to deliver it effectively
  • You should be creative, passionate and dedicated to supporting the learning and development of all the pupils in the class
  • This role is suitable for either an NQT or an experienced teacher
  • You must have the legal right to work in the UK
  • This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
