Why choose permanent teaching?

Working in a permanent role at their favourite school is the ambition for many teachers’.

However, it may take some time before finding a suitable role in a school you like.

If you begin working within a permanent role or decide to switch to permanent work after working in supply, long or short-term contracts, we work hand-in-hand with you to find the right school and role that suits you.

A permanent position can be a better choice for some as it offers many benefits. It provides more financial stability and job security as well routine, career progression and allows you to build relationships with staff, pupils, and parents.
Working in the same school as a permanent teacher also allows you to be part of a community where you can make your own unique mark and give you freedom to make improvements and implement changes.

Depending on you position your day-to-day role may differ, however your overall goal will be to inspire, encourage and help pupils in their learning, giving them the methods and tools to succeed so that they can achieve their greatest potential.
You will work as part of a department, where you will have support from fellow colleagues and leaders.

The busiest time for permanent recruitment is May to August, with majority of roles starting from September, the new academic year. However, there will be opportunities throughout the year, but this depends on the schools staffing turnover.
