Learning Support Assistant

An excellent special school in Hounslow is seeking Learning Support Assistants to join their team ASAP!

Students here are aged 4 to 25 and have severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple difficulties and autism.

This school are determined to maintain and continue to improve their curriculum as they expand. The next exciting years will be matched by a challenging and inspiring curriculum for the students focussing on communication, independence, the development of cognitive, creative and physical skills in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum, National Curriculum, and Adult Core Curriculum.

Successful applicants will be required to work in partnership with class teachers to support students’ learning. In addition you will be required to attend to students’ personal needs, helping with social, welfare, care and health matters, which may include toileting, feeding and mobility. They are particularly interested in recruiting people who have previous experience of working with young people who have special needs.

This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks.
