Mathematics Teacher required in Dover!
TLTP are recruiting for a Mathematics teacher to join a special day school for children with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties. The school has a mixed roll of 159 students between the ages of 5 and 16. The school is arranged into lower, middle, and upper phases. Pupils in the middle phase follow a largely Primary model until the end of Year 8. Class sizes are up to ten pupils with one Teacher and two Teaching Assistants.
TLTP are looking for a dynamic, innovative, and creative individual who is a good team player to teach Maths in the middle and upper phases. The successful candidate will have a high level of emotional intelligence and resilience, a flexible approach to their work and an ability to embrace change.
Previous experience working with children with special educational needs is desirable but not essential. The successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to engage our pupils in learning as well as an understanding of how to support children with special educational needs to make best academic progress. Strong behaviour management skills will also be essential. Most importantly, if you have high levels of emotional intelligence, resilience, and a desire to make every day a learning experience, we are keen to hear from you. The school will provide outstanding, personalised professional development to support you in your growth as a practitioner and to compliment your level of experience.
The school has been assessed as Good following the Ofsted inspection in October 2017. The most recent inspection report was published in November 2019.
