Teacher of the Deaf- The Role
This school are looking for an SEN teacher who has material that could be used to teach a low ability deaf class of Ks4 students.
This could be a non-signer and they would provide an interpreter but the main thing is to be able to produce some low-level resources to teach themselves. English, History, Geography, PSHCE etc. it would mostly be about introducing and developing language
Teacher of the Deaf - The School
This is a single site school for deaf pupils of all ages offering both day and weekly boarding provision. The school has two departments: Lower (including nursery - year 6), Upper (including year 7-11) with some flexibility between the departments ensuring that a curriculum and educational experience suited to each age range is offered. Running through both departments is an emphasis on Communication, Language and Literacy; the foundation stones for the effective education of deaf children.
