Director of Maths – Ilford

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Director of Maths to join a forward-thinking secondary school in Ilford on a permanent basis. We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Maths who can lead a high-performing department, drive standards, and inspire outstanding teaching and learning across KS3–KS5. Role Details:

• Start date: ASAP (or negotiable)

• Contract: Permanent

• Salary: £50,000–£72,000 (depending on experience and leadership scale)

• Full-time position

• Leading Maths across KS3–KS5

What the role involves:

• Strategic leadership of the Maths department

• Supporting, developing and line-managing Maths teachers

• Overseeing curriculum, assessment, and raising attainment

• Ensuring high-quality teaching and learning across all key stages

• Contributing to whole-school improvement and leadership initiatives

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Strong experience teaching Maths across KS3–KS5
