SEN Teaching Assistant – KS2 (1:1 Behaviour Support)

Immediate Start 

We are seeking a dedicated and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to join our primary school in Chingford, providing 1:1 support for a pupil in Key Stage 2 with challenging behaviour.

This role is ideal for someone with experience supporting children who require consistent behaviour support and a calm, structured approach to learning.

The Role

• Provide 1:1 support for a KS2 pupil with challenging behaviour

• Support the child to engage with learning and manage behaviour positively

• Implement behaviour strategies and individual support plans set by the SENCo

• Work closely with the class teacher and SEN team to ensure consistency

• Promote emotional regulation, independence, and positive relationships

• Help maintain a safe and supportive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate

• Has experience working 1:1 with children displaying challenging behaviour

• Is calm, patient, and confident in managing behaviour

• Understands and can apply positive behaviour management strategies

• Is reliable, proactive, and able to build strong relationships

• Has experience in a primary school or SEN setting (desirable)
