The Role – 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant
We are looking for a patient, dedicated, and proactive 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a pupil in Year 2 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) from April 2026.In this role, you will provide tailored one-to-one support throughout the school day, helping the pupil to access the curriculum, stay engaged in learning, and develop positive social and behavioural skills. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual learning plans and behaviour strategies.
The role will involve supporting with focus and attention, managing transitions, and delivering targeted interventions to support the pupil’s academic and emotional development. A calm, consistent, and nurturing approach is essential, along with strong communication skills and the ability to build a positive relationship with the child.
