Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £32,000 – £44,000 per year (M1 – M6, Inner London Pay Scale)We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a welcoming and inclusive three-form entry primary school in the London Borough of Redbridge, for a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 2 Class Teacher to join their team from September 2026 on a permanent basis. Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are warmly encouraged to apply.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a committed teacher to work in Key Stage 1, supporting pupils as they continue to build strong foundations in literacy, numeracy, and wider curriculum subjects.
The role:
You will be responsible for a Year 2 class, delivering engaging and creative lessons that support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development. The successful candidate will create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment while maintaining high expectations for behaviour and achievement.
The school is looking for someone who:
- Has a strong understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum, particularly Year 2
- Is confident in delivering phonics, literacy, and numeracy lessons
- Creates an engaging, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
- Works collaboratively as part of a team and contributes to the wider school community
- Has high expectations for all pupils and a commitment to raising attainment
- Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
