Head of Computer Science – The Role
A secondary school in Chigwell is seeking to appoint a dedicated and knowledgeable Head of Computer Science to lead their department from September on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will teach Computer Science across KS3, KS4 and KS5 while providing strategic leadership for the subject. You will be responsible for curriculum planning, assessment, tracking progress, and ensuring high-quality teaching across the department. The role also includes mentoring staff, developing schemes of work, and driving improvements in programming, algorithms, data representation, computer systems and computational thinking. This position would suit an experienced teacher looking to take the next step into leadership within a supportive and collaborative environment.

Head of Computer Science – The School
This is a mixed secondary school with sixth form, educating students aged 11–18 in Chigwell.
