Do you have experience supporting learners with additional needs?
Are you looking for a rewarding role where you can make a real difference?
If so, this role is perfect for you!
English Teacher - The Role
This college is looking for an enthusiastic English Teacher to join their team supporting post-16 learners with additional needs. The successful English Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging English lessons tailored to learners with varying abilities and learning styles.
You will support learners in developing literacy, communication, and functional English skills while creating a positive and inclusive learning environment. The role will involve differentiating lessons to meet individual EHCP targets and working closely with support staff and therapists to ensure learners receive consistent support.
The ideal English Teacher will have strong behaviour management skills, a creative teaching approach, and experience working with learners with ASD, SEMH needs, or moderate learning difficulties.
English Teacher - The College
This is a specialist post-16 college in North London supporting approximately 60–100 learners with additional needs including autism, SEMH needs, speech and language difficulties, and learning disabilities.
The college focuses on preparing learners for adulthood through a combination of academic learning, vocational education, and life skills development. Classes are small, allowing for a high level of personalised support, and the college has a strong multidisciplinary team including therapists, support staff, and pastoral teams.
The college provides a supportive and creative learning environment and is typically rated “Good” by Ofsted.
