Class Teacher - The Role
This specialist school and college is looking for a dedicated SEN Teacher to join their experienced team supporting pupils with complex learning disabilities, autism, and social communication needs. The successful SEN Teacher will lead a class of up to 14 students aged between 5–19, delivering a personalised and therapy-informed curriculum tailored to individual EHCP targets.
You will work closely with an integrated therapy team alongside Higher Level Teaching Assistants and Teaching Assistants to ensure pupils receive consistent academic, emotional, and behavioural support. The role involves planning and delivering engaging lessons, assessing progress, adapting learning to meet individual needs, and creating a structured and inclusive classroom environment where pupils can thrive.
Teachers with QTS may also have the opportunity to lead on a curriculum subject area depending on experience and interests. The school welcomes applications from experienced teachers, ECTs, and teachers looking to transition into specialist SEND education.
This is a permanent position starting ASAP.
