KS2 Teacher - The Role

This school is looking for a passionate KS2 Teacher to join their team supporting pupils with special educational needs within the primary phase. The successful KS2 Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons tailored to pupils with ASD, communication difficulties, ADHD, and moderate learning difficulties.

You will work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and the wider SEN team to create a structured and supportive learning environment that encourages both academic and personal development. The role involves differentiating lessons to meet individual EHCP targets, managing behaviour positively, and supporting pupils with social and emotional development.

The ideal KS2 Teacher will be creative, adaptable, and confident working with pupils who require additional support and personalised learning approaches.

This is a permanent position starting ASAP.

KS2 Teacher - The School

This is a specialist SEN school in Hemel Hempstead supporting approximately 70–120 pupils aged 5–16 with autism, communication difficulties, and additional learning needs. The school provides a highly structured and nurturing learning environment with small class sizes and strong staff support across all year groups.

The school has specialist sensory spaces, therapeutic support services, and a strong focus on developing communication, independence, and emotional wellbeing alongside academic progress. Staff work collaboratively to ensure pupils receive a personalised and engaging curriculum tailored to their individual needs. The school is well regarded locally and is typically rated “Good” by Ofsted.
