We are currently looking for a caring and reliable Midday Supervisor / SEN TA to join a supportive primary school in Havering.

This role would suit someone who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and is confident providing 1:1 support during lunchtime. You will be working closely with pupils with a range of needs, including ASD, complex needs, and speech and language delays.

The successful Midday Supervisor / SEN TA will help ensure pupils are safe, supported and engaged during lunchtime, while providing individualised support based on their needs.

The Role

As a Midday Supervisor / SEN TA, you will:

• Provide 1:1 support to pupils during lunchtime.
• Support pupils with ASD, complex needs and speech and language delays.
• Help pupils manage social interactions and communication during lunchtime.
• Support pupils with emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
• Encourage independence and positive relationships with peers.
• Supervise pupils in the dining hall and playground areas.
• Ensure pupils remain safe and supported throughout lunchtime.
• Work closely with teachers and the wider SEN team.
• Follow individual support strategies and school procedures.

About You

The school is looking for a Midday Supervisor / SEN TA who:

• Has experience working with children, ideally within a primary school or SEN setting.
• Has experience supporting children with ASD, complex needs or communication difficulties.
• Is patient, caring and approachable.
• Can build positive relationships with pupils.
• Is confident providing 1:1 support.
• Can remain calm and consistent when supporting challenging situations.
• Is reliable and available for an immediate start.
• Works well as part of a wider school team.
