Are you an experienced Economics Teacher looking for a new opportunity with responsibility for leading a successful department?

 

TLTP Education is currently working with a successful secondary school in South London who are looking to appoint a Head of Economics to join their team from January 2027.

 

The successful candidate will take responsibility for leading and developing Economics across the school, supporting high standards of teaching and learning and helping to develop an engaging and ambitious curriculum. The role will also involve supporting colleagues and contributing to the wider development of the department.

 

The successful Head of Economics will:

 

  • Hold QTS
  • Have proven UK teaching experience
  • Have strong subject knowledge in Economics
  • Have experience teaching Economics at GCSE level, with KS5 experience desirable
  • Have experience leading or supporting the development of a subject or department
  • Have high standards of teaching, learning and assessment
  • Have strong classroom management skills
  • Be confident supporting and developing other teachers
  • Be organised and committed to improving student outcomes
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be committed to safeguarding and student development
