SEN Teacher needed for a Medical PRU
TLTP are looking for a qualified teacher to work full-time at a specialist hospital school based in North London. The school are looking to take somebody on for a trial day initially and continue Long term - perm if successful.
This school are particularly interested in Primary teachers who are able to teach students who medically unwell. This person ideally would also be happy to lead or take part in a variety of learning experiences as part of a wider team.
The ideal candidate would have experience of delivering Primary lessons to pupils with SEMH/Medical needs.
The setting is a specialist hospital school based in North London This is a centre that's teaches pupils in Ks1 & KS2 who are unable to attend school due to their medical needs, not behavioural.
Many of the pupils have mental health needs and are supported by CAMHS. The main differences are:
Reduced curriculum offer- the school delivers core subjects in the morning; English, maths and science with enrichment in the afternoons.
Therapeutic and nurturing environment and approaches to support access to the curriculum.
There is no specialist knowledge about Mental Health needed the pupils just want good teaching in class so they can get their GCSEs and move forward
