Contract: Full-time, Temporary (Summer Term)
Salary:£180 – £250 per dayWe are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a friendly and supportive primary school in the London Borough of Redbridge, for a confident and enthusiastic Year 5 Class Teacher to join their team immediately after the Easter holidays for the remainder of the Summer Term 2026.
This is a great opportunity for a teacher who enjoys working in Upper Key Stage 2, supporting pupils as they build on key skills and prepare for their transition into Year 6.
The role:
You will take responsibility for a Year 5 class, delivering engaging and well-structured lessons across the curriculum. The successful candidate will support pupils’ academic progress while maintaining a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment.The school is looking for someone who:
- Has experience teaching Key Stage 2, ideally Year 5
- Delivers engaging lessons in English, Maths, and the wider curriculum
- Maintains high expectations for behaviour and achievement
- Uses assessment effectively to support pupil progress
- Is adaptable, proactive, and confident in the classroom
- Works well as part of a team and contributes to school life
- Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
