Contract: Full-time, Temporary (Summer Term)
Salary:£180 – £250 per dayWe are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a supportive and welcoming primary school in the London Borough of Havering, for an experienced and confident Year 6 Class Teacher to join their team immediately after the Easter holidays for the remainder of the Summer Term 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who thrives in Upper Key Stage 2, supporting pupils through their final term in primary school and preparing them for the transition to secondary education.
The role:
You will take responsibility for a Year 6 class, delivering engaging and focused lessons across the curriculum. The role will involve supporting pupils in the lead-up to and following SATs, ensuring strong progress, maintaining high standards, and creating a positive and structured learning environment.The school is looking for someone who:
- Has proven experience teaching Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6
- Has experience preparing pupils for SATs (highly advantageous)
- Can deliver clear, engaging lessons in English, Maths, and the wider curriculum
- Maintains high expectations for behaviour and achievement
- Is resilient, adaptable, and confident managing a Year 6 classroom
- Works well as part of a team and contributes positively to the school community
- Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
